Paste the lines from your own quote into the checker below. It reads the amount at the end of each line, treats brackets and minus signs as discounts, and leaves the lines you tick as optional out of the sum.
How do I check a quote adds up?
Add every priced line, leave out anything optional, take off any discount, and compare the result with the total the quote prints. If they differ, find out why before the quote goes out.

Do the priced lines add up to the total?
Type the lines in, or paste them from the quote. A discount is a minus figure or one in brackets. Tick a line that is optional, so it is left out of the sum.

Where the figures come from
Every number this tool works with is one you enter. It uses no outside rate, threshold or date, so there is nothing to look up.
Where SUBR comes in
SUBR is AI software for UK contractors who send work out to subcontractors. Its AI reads your client quote, your office names each trade's share, and SUBR builds every scope with your costs, margin and client price left off it. Each subcontractor answers on their own link and sees only their own price.
